We all know that Matt rescued Ash from being eaten, but what else is really going on?
Well, for one, he has this insane attraction to her which she doesn't notice AT ALL. They're always around eachother. Ash likes him too, but doesn't express her emotions easily, so hasn't told him. Long story short, Matt wasnts his character to end up with Ash sometime soon, so there we go.
