Things happen but we don't really know why

MY PERSONALITY:: Loves guns and knives, hates explosives, takes the fun out of death
MY HISTORY:: Born in New York, Steven went on to graduate from highschool and Enlisted with the United States Army where he served 2 tours in Iraq, both under the 82nd Airborne, and served in Afghanistan under a unit called "Section 4". He came home, retired and lived what seemed like a perfect life, until the end of times came.

MY APPEARANCE:: (Will post a pic later) Black military cut hair, no facial hair of any kind. Around 170lbs. Multi cam pants, desert boots, black T shirt, LBV with 4 M-4 mag pouches, multi cam pistol holster on right leg with his trusty Sig 226. His beloved Maroon Beret.
MY FAMILY:: None, they died during the infection
MY FRIENDS:: No contact with any, but wanting to look for his childhood friend, and Army Battle Buddy in Indiana.
MY STYLE:: (what clothes your character usually wears) Miltary garb and gear.

Why do most of us ignore the chance to miss?

Okay I know this isnt required in the application but thought I'd give you a brief background of the real me. I ran 2 different RPs a couple years ago, One was a Star Wars Old Republic (I know very nerdy but went with what many wanted) and the other was a Tactical RP (small SOG unit, kind of like the rainbow six books) both were sucessful but they died because I deployed for Iraq (My character is pretty much based on the real me, think it adds a little realism to it). I also was a member to an Underworld Rp (based on the movies, of course I was human on there) and a Halo Rp (based on the games.
I am in the Army, served for 6 years, served in Iraq twice and that "Section 4" unit that you read about up above, its all true. I want to start my character off as someone who's in mourning about the loss of his family, so he takes to the drink alot, but when the crap hits the fan he'll go all Rambo, Terminator whatever, on the zombies. I'd like to start him off as a man traveling from Fort Benning Georgia and making his way to Indiana to find a long time friend, but only if thats okay with you. Think of my character as a combo between the Black Police officer in Dawn of the dead (attitude wise about finding someone) and The Punisher from "Punisher Warzone" (kind of machismo and cheesy but hey, gotta use another character for support you know.)

Also, I see a faction with no members called the "Rogues"? Sounds like my character might fit in perfectly with it since he has no real allegiance.
